The Challenge
The 2020–2021 period marked a radical shift in consumer habits.
During the lockdown period, demand for sleep-related products increased significantly, leading to steady growth in production not only for mattress manufacturers, but also across the entire supply chain.
By 2022, faced with sustained demand and increasingly diversified production requirements, Scatolificio Mannelli was confronted with a key challenge: increasing production capacity while maintaining flexibility, reliability, and competitiveness, while also reducing machine downtime and maintenance costs.
The Solution
In 2022, Scatolificio Mannelli chose SIPACK and the ONE DRIVE line, a casemaker designed for high flexibility in formats and fast job changeovers.
The direct-drive motor technology installed on each unit ensures precision, reduced mechanical wear, and long-term operational continuity.
The 12.31 format line includes:
- Lead Edge feeder, robust and suitable also for handling warped board
- Two top priting units
- Automatic slotter with double extended
- Rotary die-cutter
- R-Type folder
- Top loading counter ejector
